The term "saturated" are used for silica gels that have been "used". How would you know that your silica gels have saturated? When is right time to change your silica gels for optimum effectiveness? Thankfully, SilicaGelly supplies "indicating silica gels" that are orange in color when fresh, and turns to green once they are saturated, like the picture above. This way, it is easy for you to know when your silica gels need to be replaced.
Just to throw it out there, all our silica gels and desiccants can be reactivated. This is the reason why we include some (if not all) orange indicating beads into the silica gel packets. The main purpose of these orange silica gels are to indicate whether the silica gels have been used (saturated). The way to tell is that the orange beads will turn green.
We do not advise you to reuse silica gels because the process can be troublesome and tedious, but we still want to let you know that our silica gels are indeed reusable.
